The Master of Management Program, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa (UST), continues to solidify its presence on the international stage. On October 8, 2025, the academic team of UST’s Master of Management Program conducted a strategic visit to GlobalNxt University, Malaysia, aimed at expanding networks and fostering collaboration in education and research.
The UST delegation was led by Dr. Syamsul Hadi, Head of the Master of Management Program, accompanied by Dr. Ambar Lukitaningsih, Dean of the Faculty of Economics; Dr. Riskin, Secretary of the Program; and Ms. Muinah, Quality Assurance Coordinator. The delegation received a warm welcome from Dr. Rana, along with professors and directors of GlobalNxt University.
The meeting served as an important opportunity for both institutions to present their visions and academic strengths, while exploring potential collaboration through Double Degree and Joint Degree programs between UST’s Master of Management and GlobalNxt University’s postgraduate programs. The partnership will also extend to joint research initiatives and cross-border teaching activities.
“This visit is more than a courtesy call — it marks a concrete step toward building global collaboration. We aim for UST Master of Management students to gain strong international exposure and academic experience,” said Dr. Syamsul Hadi.
As a tangible outcome of the visit, Dr. Rana has been officially invited to serve as a Keynote Speaker at the EICOBES (International Conference on Business, Economic, and Social Sustainability), which will be hosted by UST on November 25, 2025. In addition, UST Master of Management faculty members will participate as external dissertation examiners at GlobalNxt University — a testament to UST’s growing academic recognition at the international level.
This collaboration is expected to become a strong foundation for developing a globally oriented curriculum and further enhancing UST’s academic reputation.
